Jobber’s website vs a plumbing website built to rank.

That’s a real benefit: a working site at no extra cost, tied into the software you already use for jobs. For a shop that wants a simple online presence and is happy to build and update it, it may be all you need.

What a website builder leaves to you

A builder gives you the tools. The work that gets a plumbing site found is still yours:

  • Writing a page for every service you offer, in the words customers search for.
  • Keeping your Google Business Profile’s categories, services, hours and service areas in step with the site.
  • Checking each month what’s missing, what’s slipping, and whether AI answers name you.
  • Adding your license number in your state’s required format, and keeping claims like 24/7 true.

PlumberEngine does all of that for $99 a month. Whether it’s worth it depends on what your evenings are worth, and how much work the site would need to bring in to cover it.

Using Jobber and PlumberEngine together

Most plumbers on Jobber should keep it. It runs the jobs; PlumberEngine runs the website and your Google presence. Your site’s “Request a quote” or “Book online” button can point straight at your Jobber booking form, so requests land where you already work.

When Jobber's website is enough

  • Your schedule is full from referrals and repeat customers, and you mainly need somewhere to send people.
  • You enjoy building and updating your own site, and you’ll keep your Google profile current yourself.
  • You work in a small town with little competition in the map pack.
If that’s you, save the $99. If you’re losing calls to shops that show up above you on Google, that’s where we come in.

Questions

Jobber website questions

Is Jobber's website builder good enough for a plumbing business?

It can be, if you'll do the work yourself. Jobber includes a website builder with every plan at no extra cost, and you can use your own domain. What it doesn't do is build a page for every service, keep your Google Business Profile in step, or audit your search presence each month; you'd do that yourself. If you'd rather it were done for you, that's what PlumberEngine charges $99 a month for.

Does Jobber charge extra for the website?

No. Jobber says its website builder is included with every plan at no additional cost. Plans start at $49 a month with no commitment for one user, or $29 a month billed annually.

Can I keep using Jobber if I switch my website to PlumberEngine?

Yes, and most plumbers on Jobber should. Keep Jobber for scheduling, quoting and invoicing; your PlumberEngine site can link to your Jobber online booking or request form.

Do I own a Jobber website if I leave Jobber?

Jobber's website page doesn't say either way, so ask Jobber before you rely on it. With PlumberEngine, your domain stays registered to you and the site's code is handed over to you if you leave.
