Plumbing marketing services

Plumbing marketing you can measure, priced on one page.

Digital marketing for plumbers comes down to a few channels: your Google Business Profile, your website, reviews, and paid ads if they pay for themselves. PlumberEngine runs the first three for $99 a month and manages Google Ads as an add-on, with every price written down and no contract.

Digital marketing for plumbers: the channels and what each one costs

Every plumbing marketing plan is some mix of these. The order matters: the free, owned ones first.

ChannelWhat it costsWhat it’s good for
Google Business ProfileFreeThe map pack and most AI answers about local plumbers. The first thing to get right.
Service pages on your sitePart of the websiteSearches for a specific job in your town. Each page keeps working once it ranks.
ReviewsFree (your time)Map pack position and trust. Ask every customer the same way, for nothing in return.
Local Services AdsPay per lead, set by GoogleThe Google Verified ads above the map on many emergency searches. Needs Google's background and license checks.
Google Ads (search)Pay per clickSearches you're not ranking for yet, and emergency searches at 2 a.m. Expensive per click in plumbing.
Lead services (Angi, Thumbtack)Pay per leadFilling gaps in the schedule. You rent the customer instead of earning the search.
Facebook and NextdoorFree to post; ads optionalNeighbors recommending neighbors. Good for trust, rarely for emergencies.

For a sense of paid costs: LocaliQ’s 2025 home-services benchmark put plumbing’s median search-ad cost per click at $10.49 and median cost per lead at $129.02 (source: localiq.com). Emergency searches cost far more per click: in our October 2026 keyword data, “emergency plumber near me” ran about $76 a click.

What our plumbing marketing services include

  • The website: built or moved over, a page for every service, tap-to-call first, kept up when you ask. Plumber website design.
  • Google Business Profile upkeep, by hand: categories, services, service areas, hours and photos kept in step with your site.
  • SEO and AI visibility: a monthly audit with the fixes made on your approval, and a monthly check of whether AI assistants name you. SEO for plumbers.
  • Google Ads management (add-on, $299/mo plus your budget). Google Ads for plumbers.
  • Social media posting (add-on, $99/mo): Facebook and Instagram posts written in your voice.
What we don’t do: sell leads, run Local Services Ads for you, or track calls with tracking numbers (it’s on our list, not built). We’ll tell you on the first call if you need something we don’t offer.

Plumbing business marketing you can measure

The test of any plumbing marketing is booked jobs, not clicks or impressions. Today PlumberEngine counts every form inquiry by the page it came from, so you can see which service pages bring work. Calls are the bigger share for most plumbers, and we’re honest that call tracking isn’t built yet; until it is, ask every new caller how they found you and we’ll fold it into the monthly review.

Plumbing marketing agencies vs a platform

A marketing agency gives you people and a monthly retainer; their published prices, where they publish them, start in the thousands (Hook Agency’s local SEO starts at $2,800 a month (source: hookagency.com)). Some lock you in: Scorpion’s FAQ says SEO typically requires a 12-month contract (source: scorpion.co), and Hibu’s terms register the domain it provides to Hibu (source: hibu.com).

PlumberEngine automates the routine work so the price can be $99 or $199 a month, keeps a real team on the parts that need one, and leaves you owning the site. If you want a full-service agency with a dedicated account manager, we’re not that, and our roundup says who is.

Questions

Plumbing marketing questions

What's the best way to market a plumbing business?

Start with the channels you own and that cost little: a complete Google Business Profile, a website with a page for every service, and a steady habit of asking every customer for a review. Those feed the map pack, your organic results and AI answers at once. Paid channels (Google Ads, Local Services Ads, lead services) are worth adding when you know what a booked job is worth to you and can measure what each one brings.

How much should a plumber spend on marketing?

There's no honest single percentage. Spend on the owned basics first, because they're cheap and they compound. Then add paid channels one at a time, with a budget you can measure: for search ads, plumbing's median cost per lead in LocaliQ's 2025 benchmark was $129.02, so a $1,000 monthly budget buys roughly eight leads at that rate, not eight jobs.

What does PlumberEngine do, and what doesn't it do?

We build and keep up your website, tune up and keep up your Google Business Profile by hand, run a monthly SEO and AI engine with the fixes made on your approval, and manage Google Ads as an add-on. We don't sell leads, we don't run Local Services Ads for you, and we don't offer call tracking with tracking numbers yet.

Do you offer plumbing marketing services with no contract?

Yes. Every PlumberEngine plan and add-on is month to month with no setup fee. Cancel any month from your billing page.
