Hometown: a website look for family-owned residential plumbing

For the shop with the family name on the van.

Hometown is a complete demo website for Lindqvist & Daughters Plumbing, a fictitious company in Ashby Run, Pennsylvania. Every page is live: open it on your phone, tap around, and imagine your trucks in it.

The design, in plain words

What makes Hometown work.

Who it fits
Local residential shops that win on trust and name recognition, and keep regular hours.
Color
A daylight palette: cream ground, deep green-black type, one slate-blue accent.
Type
Young Serif, a sturdy, friendly serif, with one big numeral per section, starting with the founding year.
The signature
“Where we work”: the towns served set as a big two-column index, each with one honest line about the homes there.

Built in

  • Honest hours, not a 24/7 claim: what to do if a pipe bursts after closing, and when someone will pick up.
  • Pennsylvania has no statewide plumbing license, so the footer names the local jurisdiction that issued it (sample number on the demo).
  • Prices shown as ranges with what changes them, and a service-call fee stated up front.
  • The service area is one page with real substance, never a page per town.

Pages in the demo

A service page

Every job gets its own page.

Customers search for the job, so each service the shop offers has a page of its own, with the number first.
